MUKAH: Youths in Dalat and surrounding areas are urged to grab the opportunity in choosing fields which will provide them jobs in the future. Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said they could start by attending free training at the Centre of Technical Excellence (Centexs). “Grab this chance by filling in the quota of 100 students in the upcoming session,” she said at the TEVT Expo at SMK Oya yesterday. She added that 99 per cent of Centexs graduates would get jobs because ‘Centexs knows the needs and wants of the job market in the State’. Faitmah disclosed that a programme to help students enhance their knowledge in  maths, history and accounts would be conducted at SMK Oya and SMK Dalat. “We will identify students who did well in these subjects and help both schools to improve their performance in the subjects. We want to focus on education as it will determine the future of our children,” she said. SMK Oya principal Malihah Sirat, Dalat district officer Kueh Lei Poh and Centexs chief executive officer Syed Mohd Hussein Wan Abdul Rahman were among those present the event.
