Certificate in BEV Maintenance & BMS Diagnostics programme propels automotive technicians towards a thriving career in the electric vehicle (EV) market. This programme equips trainees with the specialized skills needed to service and maintain Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), with a particular focus on Battery Management System (BMS) diagnostics and repair.
Upon completion of this programme, the trainees will be able:
- Prepare a safe work environment for BEV servicing, adhering to legal and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential BEV issues before they become major repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities as per manufacturer specifications to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Prepare a safe and controlled environment for servicing the Battery Management System (BMS).
- Replace high-voltage cables, onboard charger (OBC), pre-charge control system, traction battery pack, and DC-DC converter following proper safety protocols and procedures.
- SPM or equivalent qualification, or Possessed a Certificate in Automotive Technology
- All candidates must be physically and mentally fit and do not have any visual (blind/colour blind), hearing or physical disabilities.
