Certificate in Aerospace Machining Operations

2025 NEW INTAKE |  CENTEXS Lundu

The Certificate in Aerospace Machining Operation is designed to provide trainees with the skills necessary to perform the tasks of machine operator in a manufacturing factory. It covers material fabrication and manufacturing of aerospace parts using conventional machines.

The programme consist of two part :

  • Theory Class at CENTEXS Lundu
  • Practical Class at Subang
Learning Outcome

Upon completion of this programme, the trainee will be able to:

  • Familiarize and understand the basic elements of aviation-related situations or characteristic knowledge of scientific principles, basics of aerodynamics and aircraft structure.
  • Observe and comply with all shop safety procedures and environmental regulations. Understand the criticality of cleaning and checking loose articles to ensure the final product is safe and airworthy.
  • Demonstrate the use, interpret and apply appropriate documentation including technical manual, engineering drawing, engineering order, technical procedure and technical instruction.
  • Identify method of machining and sequence of operations. Know the selection of measuring instruments and their functions and applications. Set machining parameters with all relevant calculations.
  • Perform machining operations on lathe, milling and grinding machines for manufacturing jobs using suitable tools, accessories and measuring instruments.
  • Perform machined component assembly operation to produce a complete assembly of machined components with correct alignment, fitting and tightness in accordance with component assembly drawing specifications.
Entry Requirement
  • SPM with preferably passed in English, Mathematics and Science subjects or equivalent.
  • All candidates must be physically and mentally fit and do not have any visual (blind/colour blind), hearing or physical disabilities.
