CENTEXS Betong was established on 12 March 2019 and was inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of Sarawak Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi (DR) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg.
The opening of the Sarawak Technology Center of Excellence (CENTEXS) campus in Betong is a move to attract more SPM graduates to continue their education in skills in the Sri Aman, Betong and Sarikei areas. The opening of CENTEXS in Betong will attract more Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) graduates in the skills field.
CENTEXS Betong offers several training programs with a focus on three areas namely fashion technology, digital agriculture and electricity. These three areas will be our main focus in Betong and digital agriculture is an important area in the development agenda in Betong

Hostel
There are 2 dormitory units which are divided into male and female dormitories. Each dormitory unit can accommodate up to 20 trainees. Dormitories equipped with beds, mattresses, pillows and also toilets and bathrooms.
Each dormitory is equipped with a fan and study, prayer and dining room. The hostel and campus are also equipped with warden and security guards.
